Active water damage counts as urgent: those calls jump the schedule. Everything else books in the order it arrives, and Sunday site visits are available if weekdays don't work for you.
Scheduled work vs urgent work
Scheduled remodels book in the order scopes are approved — most start within two to four weeks. Active water damage jumps the queue: if water is moving right now, say so on the call and we'll prioritize the visit. Either way you get the same thing first: a written scope, a real calendar, and a license you can verify before any money changes hands.
Licensed, insured, and easy to verify
Every estimate carries our license number — CSLB #1036242, verifiable at cslb.ca.gov in under a minute — and a certificate of liability insurance on request. We accept check and bank transfer on scheduled milestones, never large up-front sums: California caps residential down payments at 10% or $1,000, and our contracts follow the law to the dollar.
What the free estimate includes
Your estimate is a document, not a handshake: it lists the scope line by line, materials and allowances, who is responsible for the permits, and a phase-by-phase calendar you can lay against anyone else's bid. The site visit behind it costs nothing and usually runs thirty to sixty minutes — long enough to measure, photograph, and understand how your household lives in the space while the work happens. Estimates stay valid long enough for you to think, and if the scope changes before you sign, we rewrite the number instead of holding you to a figure built on different assumptions. There is no charge for any of it, and no obligation until a contract is signed by both sides.
Scheduling flexes around real households: Sunday site visits are available when weekdays don't work, evening calls are fine, and urgent water damage skips the queue entirely — say so when you call and we'll aim for the same day. Email works too; attach photos of the space and the job type, and you'll get a considered reply from the same office that would run your project, usually within one business day. Whichever way you reach us, the first conversation is about your job, not a sales script.
